Nightlife in Cologne

Looking for a good night out? From bars, pubs to concert venues & the hottest clubs – find out the best places to explore Cologne’s nightlife:

A bar, a pub, a club – a bit of all makes the Stiefel THE place to start into Cologne’s nightlife. Edgy urban place which you can’t miss due to it’s colorful graffiti facade. Even Anthony Hopkins had a beer here when shooting his movie Collateral in this iconic bar.

Papa Joe’s Jazz Bar

A true original in Cologne’s nightlife. With over 400 concerts, you can experience live Jazz daily in Germany’s oldest jazz venue.

Dive into a former decade and enjoy the unique 50s interior and a glass of really good wine.

King Georg

Looks like a bordello but is actually a great place for lectures, concerts, parties or just a Kölsch.

Bumann & Sohn

Ehrenfeld’s nightlife had to wait long for a bar like this. Nice interior and awesome outdoor area to chill during the summertime or drink Glühwein at the small Weihnachtsmarkt around Christmas.

You want a drink with the special something? Food is overpriced in the restaurant & wine bar on the 30th floor but it is the perfect place for a glass of wine on a special occasion. You can have a wine with a breathtaking view & even go out on their terrace.

Toddy Tapper

They obviously spent all the money in good liquor and had nothing left for a sign at the door. Despite its unremarkable facade it’s definitely worth visiting this cocktail bar.

Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld (CBE)

Amazing location in the arches directly under the railway station Ehrenfeld featuring a wide program from parties to concerts, poetry slams and cultural entertainment shows. A perfect place to start into Cologne’s nightlife.

Concert venue & club featuring a nice beer garden area and all at free entry. So always worth to hop by & check it out. 2 floors playing rock, pop, punk & hiphop. Best day to go: Saturdays.

The go-to place for HipHop lovers – especially on Thursdays for their Beatpackers party

Pass through the battered door, belly up to the super-long bar and pick from several dozen varieties of beer, all served by the bottle from a giant fridge. It gets seriously jammed after midnight.

If you like to dance the night away you can simply stay here after watching a play when this theater turns into a club.

Reineke Fuchs

Expect the finest mix of melodic tech house, a bursting dance floor as well as many comfortable sofa corners for those little rests in between.
